Russ is the Founder, President, and a Managing Director at Paramax Corporation, where he has successfully led more than 500 M&A transactions. A CPA with deep financial expertise, Russ combines strategic insight with real-world business experience, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor in investment banking. He is recognized for guiding both privately held and publicly traded companies through complex financial decisions with a steady, client-focused approach.

His advisory work spans family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 corporations across all industries. He brings extensive expertise in sell-side transactions, exit planning, business valuations, and corporate finance, tailoring strategies to meet the unique goals of each client.

Before founding Paramax, Russ established a CPA practice that evolved into Tronconi Segarra & Associates LLP, now one of the region’s leading accounting firms. He has been named multiple times to Business First’s Power 250 list, recognizing his leadership and impact on Western New York’s economic growth.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Russ is an accomplished saxophonist with a lifelong passion for jazz and classical music. He has appeared at Carnegie Hall and performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chautauqua Symphony, and several nationally acclaimed jazz ensembles. Outside of music, Russ is an enthusiast of classic cars and boating. He also serves on the Dean’s Council at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, a distinguished body of alumni and community leaders who advise the school’s leadership on advocacy and community engagement.
