(“CDI”) (www.cdibuffalo.com) is a third-generation, privately-owned chemical and equipment distributor with over sixty years of broad industry experience including, but not limited to, food and beverage, oil and gas, water treatment, and metal finishing. The Company is a member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) and adheres to the Responsible Care Initiative. In addition to their core chemical customer base, CDI specializes in equipment distribution that is delivered worldwide. The Company provides value added service offerings that include an internal laboratory to support the development and chemistry of specialty blends, as well as a mixing and blending operation for both standard and unique product blends.
The buyer, PVS Chemicals Inc. (“PVS”) (www.pvschemicals.com) is a third generation, privately-owned global manufacturer and distributor of chemical products in the electronics, steel, agricultural, metal finishing, water treatment, and food processing industries. PVS has 1300 employees and 14 manufacturing locations, in addition to several distribution centers throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia. PVS Chemicals is the parent company to a number of operating units ranging from U.S. manufacturing, U.S. distribution, international manufacturing and distribution, and a wholly non-chemical unit.
