JIT Packaging (“JIT”) (jitpackaging.net) is a leading distributor and manufacturer of industrial corrugated packaging, retail high graphics packaging, kitted packaging, and a variety of other complementary packaging products. Led by second generation owner Jeff Jones, the Company has grown into a regional leader in its industrial corrugated markets. JIT’s manufacturing facility in Lebanon, Ohio allows the Company to provide customized corrugated solutions with short lead times allowing the Company to provide its customers unique just-in-time program offerings. JIT operates 2 distribution facilities – in Canton, Ohio and Atlanta, Georgia allowing the Company to serve customers throughout the Midwestern and Southeastern United States.
The buyer, Premier Packaging, Inc. (“Premier”) (prempack.com) is a leading manufacturer and distributor of paper, corrugated, and foam packaging products. Founded in 1994, the Company operates 70 facilities throughout the United States. The acquisition of JIT expands Premier’s manufacturing capabilities and provides the Company additional distribution coverage in the Midwestern and Southeastern United States. Premier is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky.
The JIT transaction represents Paramax’s 13th sale of a specialty distributor and 5th transaction in the packaging space in the past 3 years.
