Established in 1984, the company is known for spearheading ‘firsts’ in the Customs Brokerage industry, empowering clients with real, customized, and competitive Customs services, global logistics, and technology solutions for nearly 40 years. Trans American is ranked within the top 20 of all US Customs Brokers by annual Customs Entry filings.
The buyer, EFL Global (“EFL”) (www.efl.global), is a leading supply chain and logistics solutions provider. Founded in Sri Lanka in 1982, they are a recognized international leader in freight forwarding across many verticals, including agriculture, apparel, pharmaceuticals, technology, automotive, and more. EFL is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the trade association that supports aviation with global standards for airline safety, security, efficiency, and sustainability. EFL will retain the Trans American business model and (TA) name.
